Donations reveal governor candidates' political territory

Gubernatorial candidate Drew Edmondson has deep roots in northeastern Oklahoma, a fact that shows up in the Democrat's list of campaign donations.

Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, a Republican, got nearly three-fourths of his money so far from donors living in the Oklahoma City metro.

Early campaign donations give an idea of where a candidate's political base resides, but isn't necessarily an indicator of voter preference.
